Don't forget to send in your Book It calendars this week for October. New calendars and coupons for free pizzas will be coming home in Friday's red folder.
If you're looking for great books to read to your child, look for the Scholastic Book Clubs flier that is coming home today. These books are very reasonably priced, good quality children's literature. Keep these in mind for Christmas presents too. Also, every time you order books for your child, our classroom earns points that can be used for free books for our class!
Finally, your child will be bringing home a homework folder next week on Monday. There will be instructions and activities for you and your child to do together inside the folder. Try to get through each section, but don't spend more than 20 minutes per night on the homework folder unless your child is really enjoying him/herself. The book it calendar will also be considered part of the homework. Let me know if you have any questions. :)
