Weeks 28 and 29

 On our last day before Spring Break, the weather was terrible.  However, that didn't stop us from having a fun egg hunt in the classroom.  The class took turns hiding and seeking.

 In math, we've been playing a game to help us get ready to add: Domino Parking Lot.  Students count the total number of dots on dominos, and have to "park" them in the correctly numbered spot.

Our latest reading unit is called Entomology.  We have really enjoyed becoming scientists who study bugs.  Here we are researching with books that are on our level.  With our research we were able to compile a list of "WOW! Facts."

We are so lucky to have received our latest classroom addition during our entomology studies!  Caterpillars!  We have really enjoyed watching them as they move around, eat and grow!


With our busy days, we need time for brain breaks.  Go Noodle is one of our favorites.  These students LOVE doing the guided dancing breaks.  We have quite a few budding dancers!

Looking forward to next week....
In language arts/science research we will continue our study of bugs!  We will be reading and writing about insects, with a focus on butterflies all week.

In math, we will be focused on addition.
