Week Ten

We're into November now, and there is still lots of learning going on in Room 105!

Now that we have learned all kind of things about mammals, we played a game at morning meeting in which we had to find our mammal partner.  If we were a baby mammal, we had to find the mommy/daddy.  If we were a mommy/daddy, we had to find the baby.

In math, we are continuing to build our number sense as well as our communication/collaboration skills by working with a partner to put together these number puzzles.  Sometimes it was a bit tricky, but we had to work with our partner to get it done.

We also love playing "I have...who has...?" to help us practice counting and number recognition.
Another fun game is dice roll.  Here we work on combining numbers and graphing:
We have been really working on our writing stamina (writing for a longer period of time without getting tired).  Here are my little writers busily working:

Another favorite activity: Go Noodle!  It helps us get our wiggles out, get some exercise or settle down depending on what we need.  Who new I had so many great dancers in our class?

Looking forward to next week...we will be continuing our zoology study by learning, reading and writing about BIRDS.  In math, we will continue to compare numbers using the words: "more, fewer, same."  Have a great week!
