We'll begin our week by "plowing" through the few areas we should have been covering the past two weeks. We'll do a really condensed completion of unit study (magnets), language arts (letter O) and math (weight). Tuesday we'll be moving on to new things.
In unit study, we'll be beginning a unit about famous Americans. We will learn about Chief Powhatan, Pocahontas, George Washington, Betsy Ross, Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr. and why they are all important to American history.
In language arts, we'll be focusing on the letter Kk. We'll also be reading lots of Dr. Seuss books since this week is all about honoring him! We'll learn the new sight words: little, make, have.
In math, we're continuing with measurement. Next, we'll learn about measuring time, specifically by learning about clocks! In kindergarten, students are expected to be able to read analog and digital clocks to the hour (12:00, 1:00, 2:00, etc.)
