Here we are all dressed up for book character day!
We had lots of fun showing off our books and costumes as we "paraded" the school!
This week in unit study we learned about maps and globes. One thing we learned is that a map shown as a view from above and called a "birds eye view." Here we are pretending to be birds and viewing a block building from above:
In math we learned about clocks and how they measure time. Our goal is to learn to tell time to the hour.
In language arts we focused on the letter Hh. We learned the sight words: how, has, home, house. We read books by Dr. Seuss for Read Across America week.
Looking forward to next week...
In unit study we will continue learning about maps and globes.
In math we will continue to learn about clocks and telling time.
In language arts, we will focus on the letter Vv. We will read some non-fiction texts about frogs and butterflies. We will learn the sight words: very, have, give, over.
Have a great week!
