Week 25

One of the highlights of our week was our Carrollton Corral Chorus Concert!  Here are the students practicing for the first graders on Tuesday morning:

And here are some of the cowboys (and girls) backstage and ready for the show:

 Great job everyone!!

In unit study this week, we continued learning about maps and globes.  We worked together to create this map of our classroom:

In math, we learned all about clocks and time and how to tell time to the hour.

In language arts, we focused on the letter Vv.  We had fun reading non-fiction books about butterflies and frogs and then writing down some of the facts that we learned.  Our sight words were:  very, have, give, over.

Looking forward to next week...

In unit study we will be discussing the season of Spring.

In math, we will be learning about coins and their value.

In language arts, we will be reading both fiction and non-fiction stories about rabbits and comparing and contrasting the two.  We will focus on the letter Yy.  Our sight words are:  you, your, yes, away.

Have a great week!
