Weeks 20/21

 We were all so excited to start our school book club, Because of Winn-Dixie!  We even got to watch a "live" broadcast by Mrs. Smith as she interviewed local dogs and discussed the book:

In math, we have been playing lots of partner games.  This one, called roll and cover is a great way to practice simple addition by adding two sets of dots on the dice.

 

 We really enjoyed studying our first ecosystem, savannas.  We made a whole class mural of different plants and animals that are seen on the savanna:

Looking forward to next week....

In math, we will be exploring the concept of time.  We'll make sure we understand passage of time, and which activities take longer/shorter amounts of time.  We'll also explore the passage of time via calendar.

In language arts/science lab, we will continue exploring our newest ecosystem: the forest!
