In unit study we learned about water and its three forms (solid, liquid, gas). We played a game called melt the ice cube to see our solid ice turn to liquid water:
We also learned that some things sink in water while others float. It was fun to test out different objects and see if they sink or float.
In math groups we played this game in which we had to put cards in order from 0-12
In language arts, we focused on the letter Bb. We read fairy tales such as Jack and the Beanstalk and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We learned the sight words: by, back, but. We learned that characters are who the story is about.
Looking forward to next week....
In unit study, we will be learning about shadows.
In math, we will be continuing to discuss length and will be measuring things using non-standard units of measurement.
In language arts, we will be focusing on the letter Pp. We will read more fairy tales. Our sight words are: day, put, play, say, says. We will be learning about the setting of a story.
Have a great week!
