Week 29

Our week began with a video learning about our school-wide book club, One School, One Book.  We watched Mrs. Smith as she pondered what pet should our school get to go along with the theme of the book...

On our way to lunch we were SO excited to see our new school pet, Humphrey the hamster!

What a cutie!

In unit study this week, we continued our recycling project by taking our recycled cheerio "tires" and adding cement (glue and water) to turn them into a road.

In math this week, we did lots of review and completed our 9 weeks math assessment.

In language arts, we focused on the letter Kk.  We learned sight words: look, like, made, make.  We also read both fiction and non-fiction books about cats.

Looking forward to next week...

In unit study we will be learning how to tell the difference between things that are living and non-living.

In math, we will be focusing on addition.

In language arts, we will focus on the letter Zz.  We will learn the sight words: new, now, good, help.  We will read books about real turtles (non-fiction) and books about Franklin the turtle (fiction).

Have a great week!
